Beltane or May Day holds a dear place in my heart. Growing up in the UK, this festival had a real community feel to it with May Queens and May Poles. In the county I am from we have the tradition of well-dressing: the ancient practice of decorating community wells to appease the water sprites thought to reside within.
In this Beltane edition of Crafting the Craft, we are going to make our own little wells and decorate them. They can be used as pieces for your altar, as ritual items or given as gifts. Those of you who can't make it to Asheville for this workshop should follow Open Coven for details of art prompts and mini online courses for the sabbats.
