Handmade Tree Ornaments

My project for the holidays this year is to make tree ornaments for my friends. This has been rewarding since they don't take long to make and I was able to really think about what makes my friends unique and what they love. The result has been some really fun ideas, like this little herring that I made for a friend with Scandinavian roots who has a love of tinned fish, a love I share!

I used raw applique and embroidery. Mixing these two techniques allows me to be spontaneous and also methodical. Check out my IG account since I’ll be posting more pics of the tree ornaments I make.
